# How can I add a marker to a log item?

To add a marker to a log point, click the ${color}[#000000](**+ Add Marker**) button at the corresponding log point.

A new window will open. Navigate to the desired folder and select the plan with a **click** on it.

You will now see the selected plan. Set the marker to the desired position by mouse click. You can define the visible area by zooming and sliding. Then click on the **Save** button to apply the marking.

A preview image will be attached to the log item. If you click on the **Edit marker** button (1.), you can edit the marker again. If you click on the **Dump Bin** button (2.), the marker will be deleted. Besides, you have the possibility to add more characters and texts (3.).
