# How can I share a file with someone external to the project?

You can make a file available for download to someone who is not listed as a participant in the project.

Click on **Files** in the menu (1.), open the file completely, click on the **three dots** in the top-right corner (2.), and then click on **Share** (3.).

Now use the dropdown menu to select how long the link should be valid (1.), and then click **Get link to share** (2.).

You can now copy the link and send it to the person you want.
