# How do I add an existing task to a log?

First open the desired protocol. Then you can either add a ${color}[#000000](**new point**) in the protocol between existing points (1.) or scroll down to the bottom and click the **+ New point** button (2.).

It is important that you select one of the two marked **text options** (1.), so that you can click the **"+"** button afterwards (2.).

A new window will open in which you will see all existing tasks listed. You can filter them for example by **title**, **organization** and **status** (areas highlighted in yellow) if necessary. Click the **checkbox** (1.) next to the desired task and then confirm your selection by clicking on the **Add** button (2.).

The task is now inserted in the protocol.
