# How do I change the status of a task?

Click in the overview under **Tasks** on the status of the desired task and choose from the options that are offered to you.

**You are the creator of the task**: You can select all options.
**You have been assigned to the task**: You can only change the status to "**For review**".

Every status change is documented in the change history. Clicking on the **task** (1.) opens a side panel where you can then view the **Change History** (2.).

Double-clicking on the task will display the change history at the bottom of the detail view.
