# How do I change the write and read rights of my journals?

|| Information: With a read right, the journal can be read. With a write right, entries can be made in the journal, settings can be changed and rights can be granted to other persons and organizations.

Navigate to the desired journal and click on  **3 dots** (1.). Then click on **Rights management** (2.).

A new window opens. Decide whether you want to assign rights to entire **roles** (1.), entire **organizations** (1.) or individual **persons** (1.) . Give the respective rols, organizations and persons read and/or write permission by clicking the corresponding **checkboxes** (2.). If necessary, you can search or filter for Roles, Organizations, Persons and Rights (areas highlighted in yellow). After you have made the settings, click on the **Save** button (3.).
