# How do I create a task template?

| Notes: You need a Basic licence to create a task template. The task templates can be used throughout the organisation and can be managed by the organisation admin under "Templates". => [How do I delete a task template?](https://help.smino.com/en/article/how-do-i-delete-a-task-template-1q8eqto/)

You can create a template from any existing task. To create a template, click on ${color}[#000000]( )${color}[#000000](**Tasks**) (1.) and then select the **Task** (2.) from which you want to create a template.

| Note: You can select the task either by double-clicking or by clicking once. Clicking once opens a side panel (area highlighted in yellow), where you have the same options as when you double-click.

In the detailed view of the task, click on the **three dots** at the top right (1.) and then on **Create Task Template** (2.).

A new window will open. Give the task template a name (yellow highlighted area). Then click on the **Save** button.

|| Information: The following elements are saved in the task template: title, description, type, visibility, form fields and subtasks.
