# How do I create a webhook?

A webhook is a URL that automatically receives data when a specific event occurs in an application on smino.  

To create a webhook, proceed as follows: 

Click on your **name** (1.) and then on **Organization** (2.). Here, you will find the **Automation** menu (3.). Click on the **+ Create Webhook** button (4.).

In the following window you can define a **Name** (1.) and enter the **URL** (2.). Define a **Password/Secret** (3.) with at least 10 characters. In addition, under **Events** (4.) you can also define the actions for which the export should be carried out. Then click on **Create webhook** (5.).

The active webhook will then appear in the list (1.). By clicking on the **three dots** (2.), you can open the webhook menu to **edit** (3.), **disable** (4.), or **delete** (5.) it.
