# How do I delete a task?

Navigate to the **task** (1.) that you want to delete. Click on it once to open the side window. Then click on the **three dots** (2.) and then on **Move to Trash** (3.).

For security reasons, you must confirm the move by clicking on **Move to Trash**. The task is moved to the recycle bin, where you can restore it at any time. [How does the recycle bin work?](https://help.smino.com/en/article/how-does-the-recycle-bin-work-1iufjlf/)

If you have opened the task in the detail page, you can also click on the **three dots** (1.) in the top right-hand corner and then on **Move to Trash** (2.).

For security reasons, you must confirm the move by clicking on **Move to Trash**.

You can also delete tasks that are in the draft directly in the editing window. Click on **Delete Draft**.

To be sure, you must confirm the deletion once again by clicking on the **"Delete draft "** button. 

|| Note: The deletion of tasks in the draft cannot be undone.
