# How do I determine what content to include in a new log?

Click the **+ New Protocol** button.

Next, select which basis should be used to open the new protocol. You have the option to select **the entire last protocol**, **only the agenda items/agenda**, **an empty protocol** or a **protocol template** (1.). Then click on the **Open Log** button (2.).
