# How do I disable file name schemes?

You have the possibility to disable the schemes according to which smino automatically recognizes uploaded files. 

Click ${color}[#000000](**Project Settings**) (1.), then scroll down to the "File Storage Settings" section and select the **Edit** button (2.) next to “Version Detection”. After that you can click the **Disabled** button (3.) and save the setting using the **Save** button (4.).

| Note: Versioning is now turned off. With versioning turned off, files can be uploaded with the same naming scheme and will no longer be versioned automatically. Already versioned files will remain.
