# How do I edit a task (app)?

| Notes: To be able to edit a task, you must be the creator of the task or the task must have been created by someone from your organisation and released organisation-wide. In addition, the task must not be part of a published inspection.

Click on the **task** (1.) you want to edit. In the task's detail view, you can then click on the **pencil** (2.).

After that, the task opens again and you have the possibility to edit all details again. You can: 

1. Change the type to **"Deficiency"**.
2. Redefine the title by clicking on the **"X"**.
3. Click on the **"X"** to remove the current responsible person(s) and select a new responsible person(s) for the task.
4. Reset the due date by clicking on the **"X"**.
5. Adjust the **location**.
6. Add a **distribution group**.
7. Enter a new **description** for the task.
8. Add a **marker**.
9. Add a **camera photo**.
10. Add a file from the **media library**.
11. When done, click the **Save** button to save the changes.
