How do I change the protocol number?

Note: To change the protocol number, you must be the creator of the protocol or have admin rights to the session series. => Overview of the various rights

The protocol is still in “Draft” or “For Review” status:

Click on the desired protocol and overwrite the number in the Number field (highlighted in yellow). The protocol number will change as soon as you enter it. You can then continue working on the protocol as usual and later Approve for review (1.) or Publish (2.) it.

The protocol has already been published:

Open the already published protocol, click on the three dots (1.), and then click the Edit button (2.).

For safety reasons, you will be asked if you really want to edit the log. Confirm this by clicking the Edit button again.

Now you can overwrite the protocol number in the number field (area highlighted in yellow) and then republish the protocol by clicking the Re-publish button.

Note: If you want to delete the protocol after changing the log number, we recommend emptying the distribution list first. Otherwise, everyone on the distribution list will be notified of the change in the protocol number.
